The thrilling jeep safari through Kanha National Park is the highlight of every visit. Guided by experienced naturalists, visitors journey through dense forests, open grasslands, and scenic meadows in search of the majestic Bengal tiger. Along the way, sightings of leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, jackals, and numerous deer species make every safari unique. The park’s well-managed safari routes and breathtaking landscapes create an exciting and memorable wildlife experience.

Hard-Ground Barasingha

Kanha is world-famous for the rare Hard-ground Barasingha, often called the “Jewel of Kanha.” Once on the brink of extinction, this magnificent swamp deer has been successfully conserved within the park and now thrives in its natural habitat. With its impressive antlers and graceful appearance, the barasingha symbolises one of India’s greatest wildlife conservation success stories and is a must-see attraction for nature enthusiasts.

Kanha Meadows

Kanha Meadows

The expansive meadows of Kanha are among the park’s most picturesque landscapes, providing ideal grazing grounds for herbivores and excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. Surrounded by towering sal forests, these open grasslands are home to barasingha, chital, gaur, and numerous bird species. During sunrise and sunset, the golden light transforms the meadows into a breathtaking spectacle, making them a favourite location for photographers and nature lovers.

Wildlife & Bird Watching

Kanha National Park boasts an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and bird species. In addition to tigers and barasingha, the park shelters leopards, Indian gaurs, sloth bears, wild dogs, hyenas, and several species of monkeys and deer. Birdwatchers can spot eagles, kingfishers, hornbills, paradise flycatchers, and many migratory birds throughout the park. The rich ecosystem and varied habitats ensure that every safari offers exciting encounters with nature.
