About this tour

Bhopal was ruled by women for over a hundred years. A line of Begums built the city’s mosques, waterworks, railways, and public institutions, with vision and good sense in equal measure. You stay at the palace they left behind Jehan Numa, a late-19th-century Italian-style heritage property and spend three days getting to know what Bhopal really is. Old mosques, prehistoric rock art, Buddhist stupas, and one of the finest tribal museums in the country.
